Reqs Terms of Use

By creating an account or using Reqs, you agree to these terms.

What Reqs is

Reqs lets you share recommendations with people who have your phone number in their Reqs contact list. It is provided free of charge, as-is, without warranties of any kind.

Your account

You must sign up with a mobile number you own and verify it by SMS. You are responsible for content posted from your account. You must be at least 13 years old.

Honest recommendations

Reqs exists for genuine word of mouth. If you have a direct interest in something you recommend — you work there, own it, sell it, get paid, or it's family — you must disclose it using the disclosure feature. Undisclosed paid or self-interested promotion is not permitted.

Objectionable content — zero tolerance

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on Reqs. You may not post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, deceptive, or that infringes anyone's rights. Every post can be reported in the app, and every user can be muted or blocked. We review reports and may remove content and terminate accounts that violate these terms, without notice.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. You grant us the limited licence needed to store and display your recommendations to the users you intend them for. You can delete any of your posts, or your whole account, at any time inside the app.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms. You may stop using Reqs and delete your account at any time.

Liability

Recommendations are personal opinions of the people who post them. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reqs and its operator are not liable for any damages arising from use of the app or reliance on any recommendation.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
